Was browsing Amazon for Aiyima A70 now, and just found this listing for a Aiyima A70 Mono amp....
Thing is, there's not a clue about it on the web...Not even on Aiyima website
But says it is ready for shipping lol
That's the first mention to this product I've seen
Link to Amazon listing here

What a strange product with a very limited potential market.

Seems to compete directly with the Fosi Audio V3 Mono which is making quite a success. But this Aiyima seems larger and better built, with probably more efficient heat dissipation, an issue the small V3 Mono seems to suffer from.

I'm having a really hard time understanding who would use this, and for what.

If you were to chain a pair or more of these together, how would sub-out be kept all at the same level easily? Or is this for some multi-mono-with-sub setup? Anyhow, I'm lost.

Not advocating, but could be of many uses if one doesn’t look to use all the options on the amplifier, like:
2-channel stereo
2.2 channel stereo
Mono or multiple mono
Subwoofer amplifier

I would personally use it as a monoblock amp, one powering each speaker. Like how the Fosi Audio ZA3 or the Aiyima A07 Max can be used in mono.
I just bough a pair of tower speakers (JBL Studio 580's) and I think my current amp (Aiyima 07, the original one) will not be powerful enough, so I'm actually looking into these options. The one I was considering the most was the Aiyima A70 but now I'll wait for this A70 Mono to be officially released to see how it performs. I hope @amirm can test it soon.

ehhh

mononlocks are the new hotness, apparently

the main speaker cuttoff on the front and the sub cuttoff on the back is a thing

the fact you get a default stereo bass output is a bonus

Yeah, slightly confused - does this mean you have to have 2 subs if you use them for stereo?

I hope this part of the spec is wrong:

Frequency response: 20Hz-20KHz (±5dB)

5db is quite a variation...
Mere speculation on my part, but the ±5dB specification could be due to load dependency, which low cost class D amplifiers typically exhibit. But, it also could be an error in the specification.

its pffb

and yeh its a big strange how they have that left dial there uncalibrated and really not needed on the front plate except maybe for aesthetics

Peculiar product. Bass management is much easier to do in the digital domain (steeper filters), where you immediately can add DSP. Here you need 2 monoblockw, with each having 2 (imprecise) pots for cutoff frequencies. It just complicates life...

yeah when its done in the digital domain you know its done accurately

but let us say that we are skeptical that these guys can do this accurately with analog pots

First time I see a mono integrated amplifier, aside from passive subwoofer amplifiers. The volume control on this makes no sense for me. If you are willing to use it in a stereo you either have to carefully mach the volumes or use it at max connected to a preamplifier, making the volume control completely useless.

Feels like if they had been reading the various tpa3255 threads in this forum and put everything in a box.

But hey, now we can't complain :D

Then you have missed the topping b200: Monoblock with 3 selectable inputs o_O

I was referring to the volume control. The selectable inputs on a mono power amplifier still can be usefull despite not practical.
