Really bad, but this should not be in every piece and might just be one case... I hope.
That's a good hope.
But that mess made it to the market, that's not encouraging, it means that the QC had better things to do than take a rough look.

As an early buyer of this amp, I must say that I am disappointed by the power measurements. The sub out with HPF was my major reason for buying but the increase in power from my 70W per channel @ 8 Ohm integrated amp was definitely another reason for my purchase. It seems that I have gained nothing even when buying the 48V 10A power supply as an upgrade. I feel somewhat cheated. Can someone explain (@AIYIMA) how you are arriving at your power measurements stated on your sales information.

@amirm forgot to mention that the power test only applies to the version with the $70 surcharge for a 48V/10A PSU... the stock version is a 48V/5A! PSU. This, in my opinion, is misleading for consumers. It's clearly dishonest of Aiyima.

"Customizable Sound"?
Really?

And they even made it easier to mess with op amps?
For what, people burning these little things and get more?

They don't have the correct tool?

OPA's design don't help either, they should be foolproof so they don't fit the wrong way.

Poor things don't even go off spectacularly as caps do with a bang, just a little cranking and that's it

I'm glad I waited for the review -- that load dependency graph is a bit :( for me.

I sometimes feel that the community here is a bit confused.
Based on price, can you name a better amp?
And yet the ratings are "fine".
I'm (sorry not sorry) but if you want better you better pay better.
And most of you are not even professionals in the audio field, but keyboard warriors at best.

You seem to know it all.
I would trust Aiyima to last longer than Douk.
But what would I know.

@amirm Thanks for the review.

I think you should change the price to $240.99. Because you tests with the 48V10A PS and your results show what the amplifier does with that PS.

Someone can say:
I buy this amp, the review said $195 and 70w 8ohm, but my amp doesn't do that.
10A ppower supplies really add a lot.
I support this motion.

Are you finished yet with getting personal? Let's get back to nitpicking about technical details of the actual product at hand, shall we?
I've been following ths forum for years. You, one.
There is a definite culture problem. I actually work in this field.
If you do, kudos. Let's discuss.

A few people have already in this thread. The Fosi ZA3 is cheaper, delivers more power and has flatter frequency response. People have also mentioned Aiyima’s A80.

This has a HPF but otherwise it’s kinda disappointing for the price.

I have a ZA3, and two V3 monos. And set up a A70 for some friends.
HPF is a pretty big feature tbf.
How that affects distortion over frequency for some may more than compensate for the lack of FR flatness.
Especially given most speakers really struggle to reproduce 16 kHz+ anyway.
I use 31 band EQs on all my speakers (plus Sonarworks SoundID for my work) so it's easy or me to manage, and I'm sure most of us have access to similar via free EQ softwares.

Lol I recently bought anpther A70 for ~75 bucks to work as bi-amp. Who would buy this amp over twice the price, and with such a poor performance here

It is an interesting comparison the A70... No great progress apart from style and the High Pass Filter operating at a more sensible range, the only improvement I can see is slightly better RCA.

Honestly I reckon the bigger issue is "I buy this amp, the specs say it is 185w 8ohm but my amp doesn't do anywhere vaguely close to that"
We have to start keeping a record at the performance.
This one does 97W/4 Ohm at 20Hz at the knee, 147W/4 Ohm at 40Hz Peak, 122W/4 Ohm at 1kHz at the knee and finally 178W/4 Ohm Peak at 1Khz.

There a whole 81W range at 4 Ohm to pick and choose, and that's the measured performance, far from the advertised one
Things start to get messy.

Hi

I’m thinking about buying the aiyima a20. I have a Fosi ZD3 Dac. Is it possible to set the a20 volume from the ZD3 remote?
