3255 so this doesn't have to be so expensive
Hopefully they have sent an unit to amir

Sure we all would like that but then the fact is that newer TPA3255 amplifiers either wait in queue or probably phase out to another newer release before such review comes.

I'm gonna guess, based on the pricing for their other models, about $110€ (one of the signs goes before the number, the other one behind it - kinda handy). Which would, assuming it's a good implementation, make this a lot of amp for the money, though obviously the real power output is going to be closer to 150W or so.

$110€ is Fosi V3 mono territory (240w), I expect this to cost more

Reminds me of the look of Marantz monoblocks I borrowed from a friend a while back, but those did not have VU meters. These have a nice appearance, at least. Yes, we will soon have 3255 amps in as many varieties as paint colors, I guess. As for me, if I needed that level of power, I'd still go with a Hypex or Purifi based amp, but to each one's own.

Max power should be similar to any other 3255 monoblock, the 10% THD output rating should be ignored.

Would have preferred the opa828 in this one for a more neutral, clean and faster response with better bass control but the 1612 is….ok. I expect the op amp will be soldered too as the 1612 often is.

The opamp has no influence on the sound because any measurable difference is swamped by noise and distortion of the 3255. @amirm proofed this elsewhere here on ASR.

Where did you get that information? I can only find this image on ASR, not on Aiyima’s website or anywhere else.

I found it here:

Sorry boys, you should have learned by now that I will never agree with you on this issue.
Cheers.

Do we really have to start a separate discussion about whether it makes sense to swap out operational amplifiers in every single thread about the TPA3255 or other chip amplifiers?
It gets really annoying after a while.

I don't expect it to be fundamentally different from other TPA3255 amplifiers, but I really like the design.

We can lead a horse to water, but we can't make it drink.
Exactly and sometimes the higher will is invisible to the eyes of the blind and the ears of the deaf, even in electronics evidently.
