AIYIMA A07 TPA3255 Review (Amplifier)

Well shiver me timbers, i am in awe. Being an electronics ignoramus i certainly have no idea how to add a filter stage to an existing design. Leastways not without it being a conduit for the release of some magic smoke, mebbe even a couple small fires.

It's not about adding a filter, it's about returning the negative feedback signal to the input. it's all in TI's documentation, I just followed and changed the parameters a little

Anyone used this with 36V 10A upto 48V 8A power supply and noticed any hiss from tweeter at max with no input signal ?.

No hiss with the 30v/5a supply, but that's the largest one I have...also fine with 24v/5a.

i don't hear any hiss when using any of my power supplies, ear right up against the speakers. But then my hearing doesn't go to 20kHz anymore. Not sure it even goes to 16kHz.

I don't know if it was mentioned here before, but this is pretty cool from TI to determine how the output filter interacts with the speaker load and what influence it has on the frequency response of the amplifier.

Received my A07 today. Not happy and this is why:

• when selecting the product there is a caps mention 'with no power supply'
• tried to select a power supply (no option to do that)
• and at the end of the page a final mention that made me think I will receive the standard power supply and no other selection was possible:

Finally, there was no power supply in the package !!! Fck. Partially because clients are influenced to understand the supply is included in the price, partially because - whatever the cost - it is about covenience.

No good, Aiyima !

It's not a good experience, and in the end on this one, it's not a drama as you had not paid the price of Amp+Power Supply and only receive Amp. You're are just loosing time, not money.
But first rule for the next time you get two contradictory information: send a message and wait for any confirmation. That's what I've always done instead of trusting one of both information.

The ELAC DBR62 is likely the best possible choice. The Polk Reserve R200 and R100 are serious contenders. I am using the A07 with a pair of JBL Stage A130 speakers (https://www.audiosciencereview.com/forum/index.php?threads/jbl-stage-a130-review-speaker.18260/), which are great and cost half as much as the DBR62s (or even less, if you buy them at a discount).

I know the post i'm quoting is old but perhaps you or someone else can still help me. I'm looking for some bookshelf speakers to pair with the Aiyima A07 and 48v 7.5A power supply. I've been thinking exactly about those two - ELAC DBR62 and JBL Stage A130, with the latter costing as much for a pair as much one ELAC DBR62 speaker costs, so a good value it seems.

Would it be worth it to buy more expensive elac speakers or just stick with the budget option? all i want really is a neutral sound and i'm willing to apply a parametric eq if needed (speakers will be used with my laptop). My room is 118ft2 (13.45 x 8.85). I've been thinking about adding the Aiyima DAC A5 PRO too to pair it with my laptop and perhaps drive my HD560s with it (if possible). Future upgrade to one or two subwoofers is probable too (if i move out of an apartment), as long as they would work with aforementioned stack. Thanks.

About 3.5m far from the speakers, and now because i'm in an apartment i keep it below 75dB.

I got B-stock from Elac at good discount and very happy with them(compared to LS50 meta) they got good reviews but relatively insensitive at 83db, but using two speakers would mean for the calculator below you can assume 86db sensitivity. With larger power supply spl mean of 75db at 3.5 meters it is no sweat for this amp, assuming peaks of +20db.

Quite a difference, though A130 are a mixed bag from what i have read, Amir praises them with the EQ, Erin does not recommend at all. ELACs are widely regarded as the best speakers in their price bracket.
