Aiyima’s new balanced amplifier- A20

It is normal in A20 to set the volume knob to at least 70% for decent volume amount? At 50% i can barely hear something. I have ELAC Carina bs243.4 + Fiio K11 R2R DAC connected to A20 by RCA cables. Also i have 48V 10A power supply connected to A20. I was expecting more power from this system, my speakers are 6Ω and not power hungry. With BYPASS on, volume is finally very high. XLR connection will make the volume be higher than on RCA?
Have you engaged the +3dB when using RCA connection? You will find the switch on the back of the amp.

probably the potentiometer is linear and not logarithmic

I chat with Deepseek. My volume settings, Tv 70%, T20 20%, A20 no RCA gain, volume bypass On, with 48v5a power supply to Monitor Bronze 50. I hear no background noise, very impressive. And of course sound quality upgrade in all areas. T20+A20 replace MC331, so no opt no dac. A20 convert unbalanced RCA in to balanced XLR out. I will receive Aiyima ofc XLR cables soon. Then, I can compare how XLR outperform RCA. 24db/octave HPF is a good feature. Once all settled, I will try HPF too. Hope my settings can help you to tune system. Enjoy.

Yes, i was tried this, and it gain more volume, but in Aiyima A80 and A70 the volume was noticeably higher. In comparison, the volume in A20 on 75% was the same like on 45% in A80 and 25% in A70 with 10A power supply. Well, i have to use BYPASS option. Anyway, i'm happy of the A20, very good amplifier. I must try it with T20 when i get my ordered XLR cables.

Volume bypass On, give you 100% power. Use preamp to adjust volume. What is your input source?

Yes my preamp will be T20, but i'm waiting for XLR cables. Input is PC connected by USB C to Fiio K11 R2R. Tidal Hifi and games

That's strange. I watch YouTube with T20 volume 16-40% and A20 volume bypass On, No RCA +3db gain. Try ask deepseek or customer support.

Unstand now. I m sorry for not read agreement and click.

Try a pair of Burson V5i-d in there. Bass will improve dramatically.
put a concrete block on it, you will see that the bass is better held ...
