Aiyima’s new balanced amplifier- A20

Aesthetically the Aiyima A80 unit seems to be a notch higher than similar ones.

So far none that I know. I have my a20 for 2 weeks now and doesn't bother to open the case. Still enjoying it in stock form. I have 3e a7 and topping pa7 plus and it's not lagging behind in Sq.

What has been your expérience with t20?
T20 is a very well executed, quality product. Natural, balanced, pleasant, analogue like sound.
However I found it very difficult to differentiate the tubes I tried it with. Eventually I stuck with Tung-sol 803s for it’s relaxed, virtually “distortion free” sound which I found the most musical
I hope this helps

I added T20 to MC331. So far I m more than 100% satisfied. I watch YouTube and TVB drama mostly. I can hear more sound effects and refine dialogue. Feel MC331 is the bottle neck. I will receive A20 tomorrow. 24db/octave HPF should shine my Monitor bronze 50. Also, I will receive xlr cables 2 days later. Then, I will post my experience.

Immersion gold ENIG PCB.
That question was made by me in YouTube (I was wondering the advantages of buying the anniversary edition vs the regular one).

A bit about ENIG technology can be found here: https://www.pcbgogo.com/Article/The...sion_Gold_ENIG__and_Gold_Plating_in_PCBs.html

Seems to be something really hard to appreciate in real world applications, and the commemorative label in the case is valueless (from the performance point of view)...IMHO, so... no point in buying the special edition beyond mere collecting purpouses.

Just looking forward to check Amirm's detailed review on this new toy.

I don’t see another Aiyima power amplifier that has a HPF and a sub out. This was the only reason I chose this amp over anything in their range or from any other company at this price point. ENIG technology and labels had nothing to do with my choice.

Has anyone swapped opamp on the A20? Maybe a discreet one? Worth it?
I’d read some of the threads about the value of op amp swapping before voiding the warranty of your purchase for advertised “gains” that prey on our susceptibility to cognitive biases.

Agree let's see the results. Just pissed about the spec thing, like at least gain for preamp and power for amp shall be communicated

I like what Geshelli Labs are doing, offering products with opamp itself. So you get it factory installed and tested there aren't anomalies.
Benefit of it is another discussion all together, which I avoid.

As I said on my post about the T20 preamp if you buy the A20 as any class D amplifier you need a real preamplifier no matter which one you choose from Aiyima to Topping and others or the sound will be clinical lifeless dry and boring, the difference is night and day.
