When Amirm test it ?
Edit, hpf, 6 , 12 or 24 db?

IMO it's not only about unburdening the amplification -- which in my case allowed me to get significantly more SPL out of my system without triggering the IN-8's limiter -- but also about avoiding the increased distortion that most woofers manifest down near the low end of their response curves.
I was going to offer the same thing. These little amps will be used a lot with smaller speakers and if old tests weren't enough, the later speaker tests done in recent times have shown how smaller (8" and less) bass drivers can take off in distortion below 80Hz or so. As you found, relieving these little drivers of a lot of work low down, opens the mids out no end.

To this day, I'm suspicious of modern well known actives dsp'd to death to get bass down to 40hz or so...

Wish for a stereo subwoofer output for long time ...non available so far.

Couldn't you do that with a pair of the weird Aiyima A70 Mono's in Subwoofer mode; its probably the only really good use for that odd amp.

As to the A20, surely someone must have received one by now to give real feedback.

Just arrived... A20
T20 with Sovtek 12ax7 WXT

Feed right now by Topping D70 Pro Octo DAC. Looking forward to D20 to complete the #AIYIMA10thAnniversary Edition

Edit 1: listening for 2 hours now. The T20, A20 combo sounds engaging. The amp stays cool at 45°C driving pluvia at moderate volume (see picture).
The trigger works between T20 and A20 but not from D70 pro octo dac. My Topping E70 Velvet on my other set up was able to trigger the T20 preamp. Oth, D70 Pro Octo DAC trigger works on Fosi Audio ZP3 preamp.

Edit 2: volume control has a better feel than T20, though am not using it. Set it in bypass mode.

Thanks! My A-20 is now clearing Italian customs so will be with me soon. It will replace an expensive twenty-five year old integrated SS amp. I’m only making the change because of the HPF on the Aiyima. I’m hoping this will make subwoofer integration so much easier.

I can't wait for review and measurements! I was tested out the A70 and A80 and i'm still not sure which to keep in. Maybe i return both, and buy A20.

Do the A20 will have replaceable Opamps like a70 & 80?

A70 Stereo for sure!

Looking forward to test the HPF in the A20 for a desktop 2.1 setup....maybe the best desktop solution ever.

Yes, A70 is very good, but i will wait for review and test the A20. I hope it will be even better than A70 or at least same good as it, in terms of sound quality. HPF is a nice to have addition for the future.

These both are different and extremely good products. If you don't need digital input then thinking of A20 isn't a bad idea but see if you need the additional features and price difference is worth.
However, A20 isn't tested yet.

There isn't any information available yet, it hasn't reached Aiyima's own website portal yet (at least not US).

I don't need digital inputs. Only best sound quality. Also i will consider a subwoofer purchase, if i will have A20, and if it will be good.

Edit. I'm not sure but A70 was sounded minimally better than A80. For me the sound was "fuller" and clearer. Also definietly louder. But it could be placebo effect.

Then now you have choice between A70 & A20, both have sub out.
+ A70 has low pass filter, might be useful if subwoofer doesn’t have it.
VS
+ A20 has high pass filter to better control for speakers, along with dedicated volume bypass (which is normally achieved with full volume knob position as well)

High pass filter in a20 will pass to speakers only the frequencies above set limit? And below set limit frequencies will be played through subwoofer? I'm understanding this correctly?
