Hello everyone!
It's Peter here from Bangkok, Thailand.
Glad to join this great forum. I really hope to gain some good knowledge here and share what I know.
For a starter, I have started working on a restomod project of AIWA TPR-955 boombox. Let me share what my plan is:
1. Strip down the boombox of everything, leaving only the shell and cassette tape mechanism.
2. Update the interior with fully modern components:
I have prepared a full wiring diagram of the new setup on easyEDA.com, it's a great tool btw.
The project can be viewed in the link above, and can be downloaded for editing as well.
I included an attachment with the main electronic components I bought mainly on aliexpress and a snapshot of schematics. I haven't listed any minor components such as switches, caps, resistors etc etc. But everything is included in my wiring schematic.
At the moment I have finally finished collectic all the parts and my next step is to start working on the main PCB layout. I will use a 20x30cm blank PCB and layout all components on it, adding smaller PCBs along the way if needed.
And here comes my main question: Would any experienced audio DIY veterans here be eager to have a look at my schematics and share comments/advice that may help improve or make this restomod work?
So far I've been using ChatGPT for my research over the past 2 months, countless hours, research etc. I hope I did the main part well but I'd appreciate your input and honest criticism that will definitely help me to finish this project in the next month or so.
Thank you very much in advance! If you have any questions please let me know and I'll be more than happy to answer.
Cheers!
