I think AI is awesome for enhancing old, faded, damaged images from the past.
As to creating, I personally much prefer to see some of my skill and creativity there. Using AI is outsourcing, you can't claim it is *you* that created it, and pretty soon we will be forced to embed that fact in AI output, because we KNOW AI tools harvest the public domain to "create".
I have enhanced old family photos. But the only AI construct I have ever published was when my utterly beloved older sister suddenly and inexplicably passed a month and a half ago, which every cell in me still can't accept.
I'll never be the same, sis -sorry for showcasing you (she was very private), but I hope it shows how much I freaking loved you and miss you. I'll think about you every day for the rest of my life, beautiful. And yes, she was an amazing cajon player. And such a brilliant mind - smarter than me, always. I could listen to her for hours.
