I sadly never saw the Au Pairs. Great band! I did see Crass though - excellent fun! And I even saw Joy Division supporting the Buzzcocks which was ... memorable.I saw the Au Pairs twice

I agree that it's hard to not like Hot Rats, Over-Nite Sensation or The Grand Wazoo. Most of his other stuff is of very varying quality, sadly, with the humor/quirkiness often overstaying its welcome.
