My point was that markanini is wrong in associating repeatability across different seatings with measurement rig accuracy. I didn't mean to commit to the truth of the "what if" part in my original comment; it was merely for pointing out what markanini simply assumes to be an advantage for 711 could instead be a disadvantage.

Now all that is left to do is have plastic surgery on our ears to make the shape of the outer ear and ear canal the same as the one used in the Harman test to get our ears to conform to that test fixture + target.

A couple of shelving filters should get you 90% of the way there w/o needing surgery, IMO.
