Hi -- looking for some advice. I've got a Marantz NR 1200 running through a Russound P 125 power amp to a pair of Martin Logan Motion XT B100 bookshelf speakers (6 1/2 woofer). I run a pair of Martin Logan Dynamo 800 X subs through the NR 1200. The frequency response of the Motion XT B100 is rated at 45 - 25,000 Hz. This is a music first set up.
In an effort to optimize this set up, I've added a pair of Harrison Labs in line 100hz high pass crossovers, and I set the LPF on the subs to 100 Hz. I'm wondering if I should have installed the 70 Hz crossovers instead of the 100 Hz crossovers.
Am I wasting my time (and money) worrying about this or does introducing a "high pass crossover" in this system, either 70 or 100 Hz help to optimize sound. Also, if it is worth doing, would I be better off using the 70 Hz or the 100 Hz.
Thanks in advance for any feedback.
