Advice on upgrade

Thanks for your reply. From what I can see I would miss out on room correction and RIIA with the Wiim amp?

Yes, right next to each other.
According to the patch notes for the Wiim Amp, I believe it does support their room correction feature:

I'm not sure what "RIIA" is referring to?

The WiiM Amp has room correction, but you'd have to use an external phono pre for RIAA equalization.

One more question. Would something like the Topping B100 be sufficient to drive my speakers? Or would it be more safe to go with something with Hypex NC252MP?

Use http://www.hometheaterengineering.com/splcalculator.html to estimate SPL.

The R3 is about 83.6dB/W and the B100 can output 100W.

With estimated listening distance (7ft) and speaker placement (near wall), I'm getting 103dB SPL Peak, which is plenty:

But feel free to substitue the actual stats.

So, an update.

I sold the Hegel, and for almost exactly the same amount I just ordered the Wiim Ultra, Audiophonics AP300-S250NC and an Ortofon stylus 20.

Will probably receive everything in a couple of days, look forward to trying it out.

Thanks for all the help.

Since the advice i got here last time was great, i thought i would try again.

Just ordered a pair of Hifiman Sundaras based on the review and current price (open box pair for 180 USD). I am planning on using them mostly with my Iphone 15 Pro at home when the kids are sleeping and some times at work, streaming Tidal.

Is there any alternatives to the Qudelix 5k if i want high quality sound, portability and EQ?

Best regards

Yes, lots of Qudelix alternatives from FiiO, HiBy, Shanling, Hidizs, etc.
None as good.

Thank you for your reply.

I do not care at all about the wireless thing, does that change anything at all? Just want a small dongle with good sound quality, power enough for the Sundaras and EQ, as cheap as possibly obviously.

As a bargain basement solution, you could give the FiiO JA11 a try, but its firmware and DSP implementation are nowhere near as mature as Qudelix's:

The Neutron HiFi DAC V1 is another good option if you don't need Bluetooth, but expensive.

Thank you again, Qudelix 5k it is then. Hopefully with a bit of a discount on BF.

Unfortunately only like 6% discount on the Qudelix, but now it’s ordered and waiting for it to arrive.

Will the 3,5 mm output be sufficient to drive the Sundaras or should I look into ways to use the balanced 2,5 mm output? In that case, is there any adapter or do I need a new cable?

Try 3.5mm. If it doesn't get loud enough, use Balanced out. No need to overthink this :)

You need a new cable to use the 2.5mm output
