Hello Guys.

First of all i'm a very newbie regarding hi-fi system. I'd like to get your advice on the best possible configuration among what I have.

I used to use a Raspberry pi 3b on Moode Audio with a Hifiberry DAC + pro to my Loxjie A30 with Klipsch RP600M. However, Moode Audio has not been compatible with Tidal Connect for a while now, and the aim is to be able to enjoy Lossless.

So I've just bought a Wiim Mini streamer and an SMSL SU-1 DAC.

I also have an old Cambridge Topaz AM10 as an amp and I hesitate to take it out again for this configuration. What do you think? Should I stick with the Loxjie A30 or the Cambridge Topaz AM10?

I plan to use only TIDAL Connect. Thanks for your advice !!

Nice.
The WiiM mini is a brilliant little streamer, possibly all you will ever need now that it offers PEQ. The SMSL is probably all the DAC you will need, and the Loxjie has been well reviewed here - no reason to break out the Cambridge.

Nice system that will do very well until you decide to change speakers, if you ever do.

Enjoy

Hello, thanks for your reply !

I have the opportunity to buy the Wiim pro plus instead of the wiim Mini + SMSL SU-1 DAC for only 20€ more (I have not yet received the first order), is this a better option regarding sound quality ? i saw little posts that says the difference between Wiim Pro plus DAC and SMSL SU-1 DAC is quite inaudible, are they are both similar ?

With the Wiim Pro Plus i think i would also be able to connect my TV (LG OLEC 55C1) to the DAC + my amp also so i could have my TV sound through my speakers that's right ?

Thanks ! :)

Hi, the WiiM Pro Plus will sound the same as the (WiiM mini + SMSL DAC) ... both have bit-perfect streaming and an audibly transparent DAC.

I'd go for the WiiM Pro Plus though because it offers automated Room Correction with PEQ for manual adjustments and that can make a massive difference (and you can investigate it later).
The analogue line in on the WiiM Pro Plus is also very good, if you need that.

The WiiM Pro Plus has an Optical input so as long as your TV has an optical out then you are good to go.
