Hi Everyone,

I looking for a set up to listen to quality music whilst at my desk working (WFH).

I have been reading and watching YouTube for a bit and would like some advice if below are good choices:

DAC/AMP : SMSL RAW MDA 1
Headphone : Hifiman Sundara.

I am hoping that the dac/amp selected will allow to use more demanding headphones if the Hi-Fi itch continues to grow on me in the future.

Thanks in advance.

I was set on Fiio k11 r2r until I read the SMSL RAW MDA-1.

Cheers

Thanks mate.

I recently purchased a WiiM pro + for my amp tower speakers (ELAC FS-78 speakers)
Could I use the SMSL RAW MDA-1 as a dac for my amp a tower speakers as well ? Set up would be WiiM pro plus into the smsl into my rotel amp.

That should work yes. But there is no good reason to add the SMSL to that setup, the Wiim Pro Plus has good output on its own.

Hi,

I just noticed there are sales on the hifiman edition xs. They about the same price than the sundara ( I am in Australia).

Anyone has experience with both and would provide guidance which one to get?

Quick update. I purchased the edition XS as it was cheaper than the sundara. Awaiting delivery. I also opted for the new fosi DS2 to start with as it was much cheaper than the raw mda1. I read lots of reviews about clicking issues and opted for a cheaper entry level dacamp which I can continue to use on the go before I buy a desktop dac amp.

Thanks for the help
