ADI 2 Series Discontinued, any news on successor?

It does seem premature from a marketing POV, to let the world know the old unit is discontinued so far ahead of the new one's release.

But I guess if you see yourself as an 800lb gorilla...

This Pro EX looks like an updated Pro FS R rather than an updated 2/4 or FS R.

That looks a tough sell outside of studios.

Luxsin’s DACs look far better value and with far more features for home listening if, and it’s always a big if, the software is rock solid like RME. (And I say that as someone who uses a RME as a preamp)

Awesome, hopefully I'll be able to pick up a discounted ADI-2 Pro FS R Black Edition :)
As far as I know, they are all sold out by now—you’d really have to get lucky.
Used ones are probably now being traded at top prices.

ADAT - so one TOSlink gives 8 in and 8 out?

but internally only processes 6x inputs?

Can be Master or Slave to external BNC Word Clock?

With any/all of the above true for predecessor models?

had a nice phone call with a guy from "Hörzone" : the ADI-2 Pro EX will be delivered within 2 to 4 weeks. I will use it in my main setup to feed the monitors AES-Signal and to connect the phono preamp directly. I would have also bought the predecessor- if available anywhere.

No more bands for EQ is disappointing
what do you mean??

From the available info on the website:
RME have incorporated many unique features, not found on any comparable devices, like 5-band parametric EQs for fully individual phones compensation, adjustable Bass/Treble controls with quick access, a binaural crossfeed function, adjustable loudness filter, selectable AD/DA filters, four discrete I/O reference levels, auto reference level setting, auto balanced phones mode, and many more.

Might be enough configuration options for me :)))
