Adding a Neumann KH 750 sub in a small, untreated bedroom?

Hey folks,

I’ve been using a pair of KH 120s for about five years now and absolutely love them.

I used to have a treated den for production, but with a baby on the way, we’re converting the space. Now, my setup has moved to a desk in our bedroom. It’s a small room (as you can see from the renders), and I’ve had to ditch my panels and bass traps.

I’m considering adding a KH750 DSP to the setup for better low-end and the benefits of DSP with the Neumann MA1. That said, I’m a bit worried that introducing a sub in such a small, untreated space might just create more problems.

Would a sub like this be overkill in a room this size? And how effective do people find the DSP in setups like this?

Thanks in advance for your thoughts!

It should be fine, especially with the MA 1 correction. What are the walls made of?

The back wall behind the desk is concrete. When facing the desk, the right wall is actually a glass sliding door (closet) and the other walls of the room are just plaster I believe.

I have been using a set of LCD X and a SubPac in the meantime, but would love to know how the bass sounds, not just how it feels.

The glass panel might be reflecting and resonant, still not the end of the world. My room has reinforced concrete walls and is reverberant, but it does not bother me too much, especially in the near field.
