ADAM Audio D3V specs price ?

this you can use. you need plug the adam powr suppky correct for +/- to the input. then you need a correct cable to the adam d3v. but i dont believe that it change something in sound if you hear no strange noise with no audio play. you can record audio without change microphone pos and speaker pos and volume and compare the files with headphones in the foobar 2000 ABX test. if you then choose 8 times correct version then you can sure there is diffrence. or upload soundrecord, then all can test if they can hear a diffrence

I will make something for listening with my low quality microphone or is it a better idea to record with OC18 from Austrian Audio? I would also like to test the linear supply, but I am afraid to not burn it :D

you can measure with any wide band microphone that work from 30- 18 khz . if there is frequency response not linear doesnt matter because you only look for diffrences. I see the OC18 cost more than 600 $ i guess this have less noise. less noise is better to compare. if use linear or switched doesnt matter, the power supply should only give 24 V and 1.5 A or more. A problem is when use many capacitors on power supply as the ali express thing do, is when switch the power supply on. a few miliseconds the power supply need give a high current until the capacitors are filled. depend on power supply if its overcurrent protection is trigger and it switch off.

with the ali express thing also 24 volt 1.2 A power supply can be enough for music. because it can do longer burst as the original with the capacitors. I only suggest make not very loud long times, not that drivers overheat.

Just got the d3v. Sound amazing. Detailed mid-high and high. Considering add a sub afterwards. Anyone knows what happened to the right one?

The passive driver pops up a big. The left one is normal. The driver is flat as the side panel.

A few months ago Soundcore launched a Bluetooth speaker with dual passive radiators and out in the sun, the internal air pressure rose enough to push the radiator cones outward to where they would no longer play properly.

They later fixed this by installing a damped air vent so that the pressure could slowly equalize.

I see three possible causes in your case:

The internal pressure may be normal and the radiator centered, but it's not properly mounted and sticks out as a result

The internal pressure may be normal and the radiator properly mounted, but a manufacturing defect in the radiator makes the cone stick out.

The radiator may be fine and properly mounted, but the heat from the electronics may be heating up the internal air volume, making the radiator stick out.

I guess you’re right. I didn’t expect how sealed-box sealed. About 12hours it secretly goes back to normal. Do you think it’s necessary to ask dealer for a replacement?
The bass sounds a bit tighter and cleaner now.

so it is on my too. in your previous post also in top picture(show speaker that contain amp it is too much out). maybe your passive woofers hang . when you boost bass this can move 5 mm more or less out without distortion. when touch a little with finger on them they should not hang and it should not be hard to press them in and thy should pop out also when you press them near top down, left right

Did your passive driver go back in after a while?

the passive woofer have always the position as in your last picture. what happen when you press them ? they need go back immidiate after release the pressure. there is same force as with active speakers in them to center it to vertical middle axis. does this work on your speakers not ?

yes. they went back immidiate after release the pressure

thats strange wy they was such outside in your picture. I have currently in room over night 15 celcius and morning to evening increase to 21 celcius . huge diffrences . but the passive woofer always stay at same position as in your last picture.

maybe can avoid subwoofer for d3v. it can good do this EQ . on desktop also when 40 cm on stand 80-400 hz is increase. so reduce it and boost 40 hz make the low bass hear better. to test can also do my uploadet audio example d3v record play with such EQ . and people that like no eq can maybe try out settings they like

it do not so much phase changes

crossover for subwooofer do much more phase changes.

I've contacted Adam Audio regarding the radiator issue.

Here's the statement they gave me to share with the community:

"We are aware of the issue, and our development team is thoroughly addressing it.

A solution for pressure compensation exists, but we currently do not have detailed information on the exact cause of the problem or why it affects only some devices.

The D3V is a very important product for us; as soon as we have precise insights, we will take immediate action."

I have an adam sub 7 in one of my room and i want to upgrade to the d3v.
They have no crossover right ? not even software one basically ?
Hopefully the adam sub has a 85hz filter but there arent any custom point to be selected by software for the crossover

See the Sub7 manual:

Do DAC->Sub7->D3V, enable the Sub7's Satellite filter, and it will split the audio into bass and the rest.

You can then adjust the Sub's high frequency roll-off corner frequency between 50 and 150Hz for a better match, though the High-pass filter for the D3V is fixed at 85Hz.

main PCB
Internally, USB I/F, DSP, and AMP have analog connections.
I think they could have designed it so that connect digitally and eliminate internal signal conversion.

Has adam released a firmware update so that they don't power off so quickly?
