Dirac has added Dirac Live Active Room Treatment to Dirac Live Processor, the PC and Mac software previously known as Dirac Live Room Correction Suite. The software applies room correction before audio reaches the sound system and can be used in computer-based playback setups, including compatible DAWs and media players through VST, VST3, AAX, and AU plug-in formats.
With this update, Dirac Live Processor supports Dirac Live Room Correction, Dirac Live Bass Control, and Dirac Live Active Room Treatment in a single software platform. Active Room Treatment builds on room correction by using the speaker system to help manage room resonances and sound decay, with the aim of improving clarity, control, and overall listening consistency.
(No Bass Control license is required for ART if no subwoofers are used)
Dirac Live Active Room Treatment is available in Dirac Live Processor from June 30, 2026. Existing Dirac Live Room Correction Suite users will be transitioned to Dirac Live Processor with their current licenses and settings. Licenses are available from Dirac with an optional 14-day free trial.
Existing users of Dirac Live Room Correction Suite will automatically be transitioned to Dirac Live Processor together with their current licenses and settings. Licenses can be purchased with an optional 14-day free trial at www.dirac.com.

My new RME Digiface USB and Behringer ADA8200s get delivered tomorrow and I was looking at the computer version of Dirac to see if ART had been released.Here's some good news

I would like to test the benefits of ART via the PC Trial Version before I finally buy a separate device for that. What do I need at least for output: a multichannel usb interface would be enough?

Can a PC process Dirac at 96kHz?
Yes and at 192.
Of course, there are dependencies: sample/bit-rate, number of channels, CPU, whatever else the CPU might be doing.

It remember was $899 as a package with RC, BC & ART.
Yes, it's $899 (site is back up). Do you suppose folks like D&M and Onkyo were getting a break since their AVRs are "Dirac Trojan horses"?
If still talking about the PC standalone suite, it's $299 to adding ART. Supposed to be available today. I would just take advantage of the 14-day free trial.

I appreciate an option for Dirac ART that does not expire if one's licensed AVR goes kaput.

It does appear to be $299 for the ART add-on if you already have the other 2. The biggest barrier to entry for the PC is the starting $499 price for RC (assuming that's full bandwidth) compared to the $349 for AVRs.
