Hello, I am faced with a difficult decision, as I do not have access to many monitors locally. My equipment consists of two KRK RP5 G2s. The source is a Windows 11 PC that plays via a 64-bit Foobar2000, then via USB to an Eversolo Z8 DAC, and finally via XLR from the Eversolo to the KRKs. I want to replace the KRK with another monitor with a 5" woofer (KRK, Adam, etc.) or with a Genelec 8020D. I have no way of listening to the latter before, but I really want one. There is a price difference, but I want to improve my speakers. My question is: is it worth the leap in quality, considering the obvious bass reduction? Thanks a lot!

You do not have terrible speakers but you should be able to hear the improved tonality and directivity of the 8020d over your older.

And despite having a 7/8 inch smaller woofer, the 8020d goes to 56hz compared to 52hz for the KRK. That's a small difference and could be less in room.
