Accidentally turned volume way too high. Did I harm speakers?

Put your ear up to the tweeter and see if you hear anything. If not, you know it's blown. A REW sweep will also show any dropouts in the FR quickly.

@SHDK You need to try to detect if you have some distortion with you tweeters at high volume level.
The tweeters may have been damaged even if they are still working.
I had a similar issue than you (my wife placed a book on the remote!) but in my case the AVR went to protection mode.
I played them to a volume level higher then I would ever listen to normally. But still only 40% I could hear no distortion.

Something I did notice when the mishap happened what that there was a pause in what ever was played. So the only thing that came out during the 1-2 seconds was a few bass kicks. Maybe that saved the tweeters

As an expert in blowing up and melting voice coils in speakers I can tell that you did not do any damage to your speakers at all. If you try hard enough you can destroy them or damage them but for an occasional few seconds at high volume it will not hurt them. You would here nothing or scraping, ticking sounds and other oddities. If it sounds okay it is okay. Speakers in general are a lot tougher than people think. So, enjoy your nice speakers!:)

Sounds good. Yours and others feedback was the same answer I got when I called the dealer where I bought them. That they could take more then most people think. And that there wouldn't be any doubt if they had actually taken some damage.

Thanks
