No - pickups sound different, but the reasons are simple to explain and the sound is easily altered. I'm just saying the that you can make one guitar sound like another and you can be as sophisticated as you want using EQ, especially with so many good plugins available. Perhaps we should not hijack the thread and agree to disagree.
