Dear all - this link is to Peaker Pattinson who are auctioning (1d 12 hours left) 400+ lots of equipment from the BBC's main music recording studios: Maida Vale. If you are interested in tinkering with older gear, or perhaps nabbing a bargain, this could be for you

• There are quite a few BBC LS3/5As (and LS5/9As) . These will probably go for silly money. There are PMC speakers
• There is a big selection of 'vintage' CD players @NTTY @VintageFlanker - there may be something in there you've been looking for to test. I spotted lots 98 and 105- Studer pro CD decks with varispeed!
• There are DAT recorders
• There are many Quad power amplifiers* as well as Yamaha professional amplifiers and I spotted a Bryston. There are some AVRs
• There is a lot of audio test equipment
• There are DACs and ADCs
• There are cassette decks, including Studer

* I would probably avoid the Quad 405s which may have modifications to drive semi-active BBC speakers.

Yes the Studer 730 would be nice, but they will go for a too high price, and I already tested the TDA1547
