A tool to convert REW/APO EQ to AUNBandEQ or RME EQ

You can try it at https://eqconverter.spinorama.org/. I hacked that in 2x20 min so dont expect too much :)
Feedback welcome.

Awesome, looking forward to help you with the development as good as I could.

I tried both ways selecting a file and drag and drop, both ways I am getting this error:

System is macbook m3 sonoma os with chrome browser.
I also attached this rew file as .txt:

some debugging is required. I found a few bugs but it is still not working.

Is it desifned for rew files with aunband eq selected as eq in rew or should I try it with rew files for generic eqs?

@MusicIsADream it should work. Can you please try it?

What a timing, changed the position of the subwoofer today and spent 90mins doing eq copy by hand...
Checked emails after the first set of eqs and now I'm here.

The website works perfectly. The result looks like what you have shown in your screenshot.
Adding as a preset to aunbandeq gives the same result as adding by hand.

It will be a great help to me and others!
Congratulations for your work.

The first few tests run without issues.

Now is a file created that crashes my aunbandeq, when used as preset.
Status of aubandeq in soundsource is shown as: "
An error occurred while trying to load "AUNBandEQ", (Error code: 6005)."

ok that's fixed.
The tool should work significantly better. RME eq will soon be generated both TMEQ and TMREQ (per channel or room eq).

Hi All, I am new here - been desperately trying to find a way to import REW filter files into a MAC parametric EQ plugin within AudioHijack. ChatGPT suggests Apple AU parametric EQ. I tried the nice little routine by Pierre in https://eqconverter.spinorama.org/. It imports the REW export and displays the conversion as text. The shown text representing the conversion is copy/pasted to texteditor, converted to plain text and saved to my Library/Audio/Presets/Apple/AUParametricEQ folder as an .aupreset file. But how do I get it from here in to the AU plugin sitting in AudioHijack? It does not show up as a user preset.
(If I create a preset from with the AU plugin is isn shown in the folder).
Suggestions welcome :)

Which Filter base from https://www.autoeq.app/ works well?
It test one on https://eqconverter.spinorama.org/ it gives an output and a converted file. Download was empty... [object Object] .... I copy an paste this output in an text file.
In I want to load this settings in AUParametricEQ (Fidelia.app player) it comes a message “file corrupted“
M1 Mac Mini, Tahoe 26.0.1

Whats wrong? What am I doing wrong?

OK i found at least 3 bugs ... will work on it when I have some times.

Finally found the right way to bring the filter settings into the Mac Sound Engine, or more precisely, its filter options.

Download the desired filters from
Tested with FixedBandEQ and better with ParametricEQ – ParametricEQ is the right choice for the files!

Then convert them to AUPreset using https://eqconverter.spinorama.org/index.html and download them.
This will create .aupreset files.
These must now be copied to the directory ~/Library/Audio/Presets/Apple/AUNBandEQ.
In AUNBandEQ, these filters can now be imported from the above directory and activated.

Postscript: If you type the settings from Oratory1990 PDFs, the text file must contain a period . instead of a comma , in each case!
If you type directly from Oratory1990 PDFs, you should look at the syntax in the similar file from jaakkopasanen!
https://www.reddit.com/r/oratory1990/wiki/index/list_of_presets/

This works well now!
