What I want to do is play ATMOS music through my AVR controlling it from my Android phone. Tidal Connect won't play ATMOS so I tried Amazon Music Unlimited.

Amazon Music will Connect to any Alexa device EXCEPT firestick - I have no understanding why this makes sense. In the list of devices on the phone it shows the firestick as connectable, but it won't.
Amazon Music on Firestick fails my requirement to control it from the phone
Amazon Music App on NVidia can be remotely controlled but won't play ATMOS. Again why?
However, if the Amazon Music app is on the NVidia, there's a backdoor because the NVidia is an Alexa device. So, if you're not using the Amazon Music app on the NVidia, but it is installed, you can connect the phone Amazon Music app to the NVidia and it will play ATMOS through the NVidia. This seems to be a different way into the Amazon Music app somehow.

There are some bugs however. If you are in the Amazon Music app on the phone and have been connected to the NVidia and just shut off the phone app it can't reconnect later to the NVidia. You have to stop the phone app and restart it to see the NVidia in the list of devices.

However, if you don't stop the phone Amazon Music app, but instead shut off the NVidia or switch to something else like Netflix, then shut off the Amazon Music app on the phone you can connect later.
