Looks like a Blade and an LS50 Wireless had a child, raised by aliens.

Luxury should be expensive.Luxury sounds unnecessary expensive.

the port is at the exact same location like it is on the LS 50 Meta (have them in front of me). If its indeed a two way i hope they found a way to increase bass output/extension compared to the LS50.Given the port and the location of the electronics on the back, it is a small 2-way active speaker. KEF does not use a port on the LS60 Wireless 3-way active speaker, and it probably is better without it.
The question is whether the new speaker will replace the LS50 Wireless II, or is being added higher in the product stack.

No doubt they’ll refresh the LS50 at some point. It's a good way to design a speaker acoustically.
Too bad they don't seem interested in refreshing their passive lineup. After my third pair of active speakers failed, I'm no longer in the market for that kind of product.
Sorry to hear that. My Genelec en B&O have been working 15 years + without any problems. Ime it's due to designing for longivity, heat management etc, not per se active vs passive. It's a good way to design a speaker acoustically.

I've been hoping for an enlarged LS50+ meta or some such thing. Maybe not as big as sourcepoint bookshelf. I do love my LS50s, but a bit more bass and output would be cool,No doubt they’ll refresh the LS50 at some point.

Price is 4000. We’ll need to see the measurements but it’s a compact option between the LS50W and LS60
I do not like the way it looks
The resurrected Philips motional feedback is novel in a hifi product, isn’t it? KEF call it Velocity Control Technology. To be honest, aesthetics aside, KEF is not really offering anything particularly innovative.
