A case for warm (vintage) amplifiers

I guess that prefer 'supposed experts on their impressions of a component and what other equipment they used with it. If the impressions are favorable then I will do more research into the said component. Anyway I always buy used with a return policy so I can try it for myself.

I think it is vital that both personal preference and relevant measurements that show competence converge.
I will never outsource my equipment preference to just measurements.

Whose subjective opinions do you find important? Personally rather lean on measurements than opinions....

Was thinking you meant the reviews. I tend to at least filter any speakers first via measurements, tho.

I don't know anything about those amps but Sony goes for about 3 times as much as the pioneer one. Have you listened to the au-505 ?

I own and use the au-505 for about 2 years now.
