• CEOs are now playing Miniature Golf.
• Exxon-Mobil had to Lay Off "25 Congressmen."
• I Met a Mormon with only One wife.
• McDonald's is Selling the 1/4 Ouncer.
• Angelina Jolie Adopted a Child from America.
• Parents in Beverly Hills Fired their Nannies & are Learning their Children's Names.
• A Truckload of Americans were Caught Sneaking into Mexico.
• When Bill & Hillary Clinton Travel together, they now have to Share a Room.
• The Treasure Island Casino in Las Vegas is now Managed by Somali Pirates.
• I was so Depressed Last Night about the Economy, Wars, Jobs, my Savings, Social Security, Retirement Funds, etc. I called the Suicide Hotline & got Routed to a Call Center in Afghanistan. When I told them I was Suicidal, they got All Excited & Asked if "I could Drive a Truck."

I've even noticed that the full-wave high voltage rectifier tubes are lookin' pretty glum...

Credit where credit's due -- I think there's a member here with a grumpy full-wave rectifier as his/her/their avatar image -- but I cannot remember the poster's name! There is one, called Hippocrates, at AK -- but there's no Hippocrates* here. At any rate, it was that avatar that inspired me!

Opossums eat ticks, so they're OK by me.
Climate change has brought 'em to our rather northern locale in the Connecticut River "Upper Valley" in New Hampsire. Opossums were not here a decade or so ago.

The old timers here have advised me the snow sometimes reached the eaves and that -30c would be the norm for months. Now we get maybe a foot of snow buildup and the -30c stuff lasts for 2-3 weeks. We get warm sessions like -7C in the middle of winter. This is all new I have been told. So something is definitely up. Soon enough you'll have Timber Rattlers and other beasties.
