Third time, the passenger was silent for a while, and then he started talking:

I've been drunk every weekend since I was twelve, and no one said anything.
Every single time I visited the pub I ended up in a brawl, and all I got was looks.
I've been hung over at every mass since I was twelve, and no one said a word.
I have been cheating on my wife as often as I had the chance, not a word.
I have beaten my wife whenever I was in a bad mood, and everyone ignored it.

So, my assistant made a joke that really made me LOL and as an experiment I'm sharing it here to see if you like it. It's very nerdy but I think some of y'all will dig it. I'll give the answer first and then the question hidden in a spoiler. If inappropriate I promise not to repeat such behavior here.

Sudoers pretends to be English (ALL=(ALL:ALL) NOPASSWD:ALL) and is a tiny predicate language with no types, no tests, and a failure mode of “you cannot log in.” That is worse than being ugly.​

Tar is not a language. It is a tape deck’s front panel: -c/-x/-t/-r/-u are verbs from 1979, -C is a side effect, GNU and BSD disagree, and you can use it for forty years without meeting --append. Shameful CLI, not a grammar.​

Perl regex is an actual language: composition, a spec of sorts, you can hold a match in your head. It just invited every kitchen widget to live inside (?…), and then everyone else copied the widgets. Excess, not illiteracy.​

If we are ranking things that look like config and ruin your week, sudoers still wins. Ansible’s YAML+Jinja is the group project version of the same sin.​

Fabulously opinionated and deadpan. The gratuitous dig at Ansible is sysop comic genius.
