DYMO Grandad? :)

I have one of these:

View attachment 549675

I mainly use it to label mains plugs, so that I don't unplug the wrong thing when I have a whole bunch of stuff plugged into a trailing socket.

I have the P-Touch Cube (P710BT) and over a dozen tapes of different colours and widths. I love it!

but the drones are audiophile models. $5000 each, make the usual buzz, but the seller maintains their vibrations are "vanishing".
This is even scientifically provable:
the batteries don't last long

No. It is unquestionably a bad idea.
Just gives it that much more audiophile cred!

I mean think of it! Like noise canceling headphones for your room. A little noise here, and the drones emit some perfect, out of phase, little whines and whinnies from their little rotors, and presto*! Noise: masked.

_________
* that's a musical term -- extra audiophile cred. Audiophiles love musical terms. Not music so much, but the terms.

Did you go on a labeling spree when you got it? If so, I suggest you don't buy a chain saw. :)

But new tools must be used! I bought a nice little Hoto electric screwdriver last week and immediately disassembled my new NAS to repaste the CPU thermal compound for no real reason other that to try out the new screwdriver :)

The last time I needed a chainsaw, I borrowed it from a friend for exactly this reason :)

The last time I needed a chainsaw, I borrowed it from a friend and gave it straight back for exactly this reason :)

I have so far resisted the temptation to buy a powered screwdriver, or ratchet; I really don't don't do enough mechanic-ing to warrant it. I did buy a fancy new digital torque wrench a while back though. My old one was in ft-lbs and modern stuff is generally specced in Nm and I got fed up with converting everything - that's my excuse and I'm sticking to it. :)
