A Call For Humor!

The first two statements are false:
1. Chinese monks discovered gunpowder in the 9th century CE, during their quest for a life-extending elixir. The key ingredient, saltpeter, had been in use by this same culture since the late centuries BCE for medicinal purposes. It was found to be incendiary and immediately applied to warfare. (source: https://webhelper.brown.edu/joukowsky/courses/13things/7687.html)
2. Drones, or unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), were formally invented during World War I. Their very first use was as aerial targets for military anti-aircraft training and as early aerial torpedoes (such as the 1917 Kettering Bug). (source: https://www.iwm.org.uk/history/contemporary-conflict/a-brief-history-of-drones)

The third statement is correct in that the initial AI programs were applied to logic games like checkers and chess.

If you think man will ever use any new technology for anything other than warfare I have a bridge for sale.

Let's not forget, pigeon guided missiles:

Your sense of humour sometimes challenges all four dimensions.
This one really gave me some thoughts: may I ask for some circumscriptions?
...it was just a random meme stolen from another site...

...it had me thinking too...

While we are in a serious heatwave (weeks of +30°C) in Europe, a local todler daycare developped something new to deal with that: the "Todler carwash". The system is made that the todler can come with his pushbike to get washed/refreshed.

This is fully diy by the people from the daycare, driven by a waterhose. And it instantly became the most popular toy of the place and made it to the national news...
