Well this is the home of humour, and whilst a micro-departure from this threads purpose, it doesn't take an etymological genius to know the English language is the most corrupted language on the planet, carefully curated across too many centuries by over zealous, puritanical and religious extremists, hell bent on moral domination, imperialism and colonial objectives. What could be more cowardly, insecure and pathetic than that? The idea of self expression too was curtailed and vigorously suppressed if not in line with the agendas of the day.
Best not let such dark ages repeat.
An occasional well placed swear word can have great narrative and dramatic effect as I'm sure Kenneth Tynan would agree ( Famous for being the first to swear on Prime Time British Television in 1965) . "By 1972, the words that could not be uttered on American TV had supposedly (not officially) been narrowed down to seven: shit, piss, fuck, cunt, cocksucker, motherfucker, and tits. This came from a famous George Carlin comedy routine using all seven words. Carlin was arrested for disturbing the peace when he performed the routine at a show at Summerfest in Milwaukee in 1972."
Now that we are (collectively) six decades or thereabouts past that prudish, coy and irritating habit of covering up descriptive words such as shit with 'poo' because is "less offensive". I think it's high time to move on and call what ever it is, what ever it is.

I had that thing to serve water (or liquor, by means of a battery-powered little pump) on the table.
I think its name is in the lines of "child taking a pee" or something. I was about 8 or 9 at that time, so like 50 years ago... but I remember it quite perfectly.
Amazing thing if you are an Italian kid in the early 70's...
