A Call For Humor!

Was there any kind of rave scene in DDR, @Ropeburn? If so, what was it like? The TV cop-comedy show Kleo showed post-DDR Berlin instantly exploding with it but that was a few years after it really kicked off in the UK. It only occurred to me now that that there was a short overlap between commie rule and rave.
It was indeed very short and also small. There had been developments in the late 80s, but as widely known the whole thing only exploded after the wall fell.

Good article, with many things I've never heard of:

Consider my mind blown. A state sanctioned and organised acid house rave? With a west Berlin DJ? How unlikely does that sound? Lol

ELP? No way. Don't tell me it's BSS!
(H.R. Giger)
That's the second time in a week I've evoked his name on ASR.

Discogs user anranuto maintains a Worst Album Covers list currently standing at 245 entries including this at number 6

Number 5 is Dolly Parton! Number 8 is ELP. Rod Stewart at 15 is horrifying. I haven't made it to page 2 yet.
Used to own that. Wherehouse got a lot of Decca UK mid-priced reissues when I worked there, circa 1976. Probably fell off a truck somewhere between Hoboken and Dubuque.

No way should Revolver be on that list at all IMO, let alone at number 13! After seeing that there is no reason for me to go past page 1.

A list like this is supposed to have something to offend everyone. It has something for you early.

Love Beach, with the Gods of Prog posing like they were the Bee Gees. The music on that one is awful too.

BSS is one of the most revered icons in the Communion of Prog.
