The realist: look! water in a glass
The philosopher: You think you have half a glass but there's so much more
The chemist: yes but also half a glass of oxygen and other assorted atmospheric elements
The physiologist: you can see the glass, you can probably smell the water [if you're thirsty enough], and presumably you can consequently grab the glass and drink it. A good day for you.
