My wife and I nearly asphyxiated laughing at that.

That toober has 20+ of those.
I watched some of the others. I stumbled upon this one first and it still strikes me as the funniest, probably because of the unexpected consequence for another person.

Sidechain compression is a staple technique, right, you duck a signal with another signal used as trigger.

What if, and hear me out, we used a similar technique on amps' mains voltage... control signal (let's say bassdrum) lowers mains and with it DC rail voltage, creating dynamic compression and distortion.

You have just created an alternative to op amp rolling! Package it in a box, make it heavy, add a thick power cable, at least 3 LEDs, large springy feet to act as box lifters/isolators, sell it for at about $3,000 and VOILA, you have a viable audiophile product!

That's actually a bit dismissive, because the power compressor would definitely be audible! :D
