It really happened and it was a joke?In the Software Development Department:
Boss: "... and don't introduce any unnecessary bugs into the new release!"
Developer: "Of course not, we introduce only necessary bugs."
This is no joke, as it really happened in our department.
I watched some of the others. I stumbled upon this one first and it still strikes me as the funniest, probably because of the unexpected consequence for another person. My wife and I nearly asphyxiated laughing at that.
That toober has 20+ of those.
I wonder if that will cause his amp to "clip"?
Did you notice an improvement in audio quality? lol
Sidechain compression is a staple technique, right, you duck a signal with another signal used as trigger.Did you notice an improvement in audio quality? lol
You have just created an alternative to op amp rolling! Package it in a box, make it heavy, add a thick power cable, at least 3 LEDs, large springy feet to act as box lifters/isolators, sell it for at about $3,000 and VOILA, you have a viable audiophile product!Sidechain compression is a staple technique, right, you duck a signal with another signal used as trigger.
What if, and hear me out, we used a similar technique on amps' mains voltage... control signal (let's say bassdrum) lowers mains and with it DC rail voltage, creating dynamic compression and distortion.
High power sidechain compression. Hooray
That's actually a bit dismissive, because the power compressor would definitely be audible! You have just created an alternative to op amp rolling! Exactly why they would buy it - they hear something that wasn’t there before your box - so it must be added resolution, the veil being lifted or “insert audiophile terminology here".That's actually a bit dismissive, because the power compressor would definitely be audible!![]()
