A bit of fatphobia ?
I don't see this one as funny...
As a very obese person I don't see any reason to not joke about fat people just as much as any other type of person. Fat is fat. Now if you were denied something like a job or a promotion that is different but jokes? I say joke away. No fat phobia needed.

Same here - anyone can check my own doctor jokes, guess my profession :)

Speaking of profession - if a layman is quick to "diagnose" a "phobia", the "patient" might take it as defamatory.
When pointing a finger at someone, three fingers show back.
But granted, it can happen to doctors too ;)

I have a confession to make—ever since I was a kid, I've had a crush on Mama Cass.

So, like, sue me:

I've lived in Germany for 20 years, 19 of these in the former East. There are some stereotypes against Poles (and vice versa TBH).
Like Poles being lazy and stealing cars and such (well, some did, after the fall of the Iron Curtain).
After I became an internal medicine practitioner in former East Germany, 2005, the German TV came and asked me why and how etc.
I said "essentially, I'm the one from the joke: An honest Pole with his own car looking for work" (ehrlicher Pole mit eigenem Auto sucht Arbeit).
They laughed, I laughed, probably even people not fond of Poles laughed as well.

Taking offence because of jokes is mostly counterproductive.
