Correct, but maybe not for the reason you think. In certain countries the pickup doesn't have to meet the same crash safety laws that the smaller vehicles do, so the pickup doesn't have crumple zones to make crashes more survivable for the occupants.The pickup needs a paint job, the compact car a major repair. A case of "size matters".

Bottles are typically PET, while caps are often HDPE or PP. While they can be recycled together, one could argue it would be more efficient to keep them separate.I don't mind it myself, and I understand the reasons
My understanding is that once the caps become separated from the bottles they either get lost in the environment or become difficult to separate from other recycling.
