Well, many have another on the other side of the space so maybe not completely lost.
Either way, see if the Caps Lock key fits there. Caps Lock is the worst key ever. I hate Caps Lock. As you have already seen I removed it from the keyboard on my desktop computer. On the MacBook I just have to endure it.

You can just remap the Caps Lock key to the Shift key. The Keyboard Manager in Windows Power Toys will do this...
Or you could have the Caps Lock key type the text of your choice
