Reminds me of this story of Lord Kelvin in 1900 saying something like knowledge in physics has been totally worked out except for "two small clouds in the horizon", the problem of black body radiation and the failure of classical physics to explain the ether and certain properties of light.
These two small clouds will lead to quantum mechanics and relativity...

I suppose it improves cardio fitness if done regularly. What I find curious is that they call a decidedly anaerobic exercise "aerobic"...

They put in the work, got on TV and showed off their best moves, are still celebrated to this day and will continue to be. Not a bad result. Part of the success relies on the fact that 80s dance aerobics came to be seen as the only craze more goofy than disco dancing. So some of the views on YT are from people who look at it and enjoy feeling superior. Sure, fair enough. But they did it! They really effing did it and they endure because they did and got on TV doing it. Awesome.
Futile would reasonably describe my own athletic and aesthetic efforts, which nobody has noticed and if they did wouldn't care about.
