A Call For Humor!

I think I know what they're getting at... but that doesn't make me feel good about myself at all.

EDIT: Oh, I feel this might be a good time to mention my thesis advisor's assessment of the rather phenomenal solubility of most mono- and disaccharides (e.g., good old sucrose*) in water: Syrup, he would intone, is essentially water dissolved in sugar.

Meanwhile, just curated this bon mot over @ the Polk forums - I remind all and sundry that the fundamental purpose here is humor, not an endorsement for analog audio sources. ;)

Well, more of a complaint then. I have a Ryzen B850 motherboard from Asus. I updated its firmware (better security) and now the soundcard vanished completely

So it works - you're now safe from any sonic attack :)

Hah, it's only that the soundcard works perfectly, apart from this problem. Sometimes I even wonder why I have an external DAC, but I guess I have to use it now

That's funny :)
I've had it the other way round, 20ish years ago: Had to get a keyboard with a chipcard reader, after the patient ID card was introduced in Germany. Lazy as I am, I didn't read the fattish manual that came with the thing, just connected it (at that time with PS-2 and RS-232) and all was well. Just to hear later, this was the only way it worked. If I would have installed the driver first, it would not read these "special" cards.
