OTOH, with the German Schuko system, nothing would happen. I even got Schuko in my house in Poland (is not standard there, but not forbidden either), because it's better than the Polish system with the notoriously stubborn "prong" (identical to French).

As here in the USA. It's all in the angle of attack, which Peter appears to get right. Those in the UK do not get to enjoy this convenience and pleasure. They get to worry about what fuse rating should be in the plug.

They're called ermines here year round, but, yeah, only white in the winter.
Weasel/ermine/stoat... Happened to catch one in my garage one day a year or so back. I released it!

The critter's fine in that small "Hav-a-Heart" trap -- the odd contortion is due to the trip plate being under it; kind of cramped quarters.
