A Call For Humor!

As a child I had a chemistry set, probably not entirely safe. Now kids can be biohackers.

Mature, as a man, not a chance. We only grow bigger and older :)

Grateful Lego?

I know Mungojerrie* ... but Lego Jerry I did not know until this Wall of Sound version came along :)

I feel compelled to note that (EDIT: I think**) this is the second appearance of the Lego WOS at ASR... but I'm fine with that.

** and, as usual, I am too lazy to check.

And it could've been my post.

Recently read "Loud & Clear", one of the most OCD texts I can recall.

If we weren't, we probably weren't here :)

The Dead seem to attract completists. :)

Yes it's a peculiar obsession when someone (99.99% male) needs to own 100 or more live versions of the same song (or even multiple copies of the same concert playlist from consecutive nights)

Might not be the original FOMO but must be close to it.

We see the same neurosis (but not in the same quantity) in followers of a band that has been defunct for 55 years (won't bother naming them) where you can sell fans incomplete songs pasted into a complete song from cutting room scrapes or sell remixed songs done with the son of the original producer cause... $$$$.

We also see this FOMO with the reissue of classic rock albums that have had 20, 25,30. 40 and 50 year anniversary re-releases, all AAA **** from the original master tapes. Logically, record mixing/mastering is a known entity/skill/art (i.e. what do you get the fifth time around that is new?) so the only one worth having is the 20 year anniversary release cause the master tapes would be in much better condition than the 50 year anniversary release.

I also like the ones that have been blessed by the estate of the long dead musician as if they (the estate) have any skills in assessing the remixed product or somehow being married to or being the son/daughter of the long dead musician gives them some magical insight as to what was happening inside the musicians head/studio at the time of the original recording.

**** in fact some have been DAA cause the masters had decomposed/been lost but of course these DAA versions where the "best ever" until the betrayal was revealed.
