I think its a different sentiment when you're in college and pounding 40s of Bud while going for your engineering degree.

That wasn't my experience but I guess that's a regional difference perhaps. Bud isn't even considered to be real beer where I went to school

My guess is methylene blue. It has many uses, but if it's surgery it is usually used as a dye, e.g. to identify lymph nodes during surgery.

Surgical notes say Isosulfan Blue, and used to find my armpit sentinel lymph nodes.
