Like the old joke: what's the real difference between a fairy and a witch?
(30 years)

It's weird to see your first car (a 1983 Peugot 205 GRD) now advertised as an oldtimer sometimes...

Not that it's valuable now, but it was a good car, and quiet fast for a non turbo driven 1.8 i4 diesel egine
My wife had this one in burgundy red, an mine was silver. They took us wherever we wanted.

I've had a 309 (diesel) and a 405 (petrol), but this was long before I became an oldtimer :)
Good "no frills" cars, not many problems, and very "service friendly".

‘Cept the one I drove had silver wheels, not black.

17yrs on the road until finally the transmission gave out.

I owned a WV Passat 2003 model, 1900cc, 4 cyls, turbo-diesel, 6-gear stick.
As we speak it is 22 to 23 years old. Sold it in 2010, and it's still being used as a company, all-purpose car.
- Still is on 4.5 l/100km or even less on motorway.
- Does not burn motor oil
- Does not black-smoke
- Does not make weird weak sounds
Ok, it's a German car, but... still 20+ years old. Just sayin'...
