So... I saw this, in full disclosure, posted by a colleague and friend at hifihaven.

It strikes me that the irony of the above is that some (indeed, perhaps many or even most) "audiophiles" would see it thus:

A Polish newspaper in (IIRC) 1953 (after the death of Stalin) made a typo in his name (r instead of t), making it read as "Shitter".
No one noticed soon enough, because it was the main headline.
IDK whether the editor survived.

I live in Bulgaria, and we use Cirillic too; small nuances between Bulgarian and Russian apply, of course, but it indeed sounds to me like something related to "shitting", or "shitted upon"... ;-)

Exactly, only in latin alphabet (Sralin). Imagine that in 1953...

You know, every one one of those vessels and their branches have names. I had to remember all their names when I was in medical school. Fortunately, the names are descriptive, like a street map. Like, "Lower Manhattan Road, 4th branch". That's why doctors are so smart!
