Imperial County includes most of the Salton Sea.
That I didn't know per se.
Mrs. H has birded at the Salton Sea many times in years gone by -- I've never been there.
Closest I've been to the Salton Sea is Anza-Borrego Desert State Park.

Tent camped and hiked around Agua Caliente in my younger years.

One can tell any joke in any country, but in some countries, just once

Around here, we call it woods. :)
woods...more logical than bush...it always feels kinda dirty when you say I spent an afternoon in the bush.

This is the fluffy "bush" around my abode...which goes and goes esp at the back of the house (bottom of the picture).

Roof is flat but house is two stories so you can get a gauge of the height of the canopy.. You can touch some of the tree branches from the first floor balcony (which runs along the left side of the house)

Those solar panel looking things are glass panels that let tons of light in.

Maryland, by and large, doesn't have towns, at least in the New England sense of the word. Most "places" outside of the few cities in the Free State are defined by the US Postal Service (i.e., their ZIP codes) rather than as independently administrated and incorporated settlements. It's kind of a Maryland thing.
Really ?

Grew up NW of Baltimore and most every town has a mayor a council, some have police, etc.
