It’s just a bad pun. Perhaps only really visible in English? Lactose/ lack toes… when spoken isn’t a pure homophone but pretty close.

Agreed. But did you memorize the multiplication tables up to the 12's? Some rote skills are necessary. Nuns made me do it.
