'Flickcombs' were explicitly banned at my high school.

In the UK, a switchblade is known as a flick knife, hence 'flickcomb'.
Fun fact: I attended elementary school (in Poland 1973-80) openly carrying the obligatory knife. So did the rest of the boy scouts. Nothing bad ever happened.

Indeed. With a small product design adaptation you could also go for a ‘dry’ sound.
- or 'wet', depending on the cycle. If the cycle is 33⅓ RPM, then it also comes out warm.

In high school almost all of us wore a large hunting knife on our belts at all times. During hunting season, most of the trucks in the school parking lot (students and teachers) had gun racks in them with rifles and shotguns. We never had any problems.

Poland under the Commies wasn't that liberal. Which didn't stop me from practicing with my father's Tokarev "TT" since age 7
(supervised of course). Wasn't really allowed but no one cared, including police at the range.
