A Call For Humor!

When I was a child the Jehovas witnesses rang the doorbell. I opened the door and chatted with them for a while. My mother noticed that only after she had finished gardening and gave them a clear "warning". (She was raised very strictly Catholic and hates institutionalized religion now ...) Even today, more than 20 years later, the jehovas witnesses cross the street in front of my parents' house on their missionary rounds - just to be safe. :)
Years ago I had a Dog that recognized Jehovah's Witnesses for a problem and all I had to do was leave the dog outside and go in the house. She was aggressive enough that they didn't even get out of the car. After they backed out of the driveway I would go back outside to continue what I was doing before their arrival. That worked great until the Dog died. I had to come up with another plan after that.

A sole reply does not mean a a contribution to the basic concern.

I pictured the porch scene with Michael Caine and Robert Duvall in Secondhand Lions as being a good way to prevent unwanted visitors.
