In total seriousness, I had one of these for a couple of years in my college days, passed along to me by an erstwhile postdoc of Linus Pauling. It was very large, very heavy, and I couldn't manage to get it to do anything useful. I ultimately gave it away to I guy I knew from the CB radio.
